NEW
HANUKKAH SONG SWEEPS THE NATION
Latkelicious, Parody of Fergalicious, is Released
LATKELICIOUS.COM
Jon
Fursh, a New York native and current resident of Boston, has
produced a Hanukkah song as a testament of his love for the
latke. A latke is a potato pancake, traditionally known as
a Jewish cuisine that is prepared for Hanukkah.
Hanukkah
songs, especially parodies, have always been popular with
the American public. Jon attempts to recreate that feeling
with Latkelicious, as both a tribute to the Jewish faith and
to Fergie’s music.
Latkelicious
is a parody of Fergalicious by Fergie
and featuring will.i.am. Fergalicious is the second single
off Fergie’s hit album “The
Dutchess.” The album was produced by the will.i.am
Music Group and distributed by Interscope
Records and A&M
Records.
The
lyrics of Latkelicious describe the latke as “so delicious,”
just as Fergie describes herself in Fergalicious. Much of
the lyrics were based of the syllabic sentence structures
found in the original song, in an effort to create a powerful
parody.
