Jon
Fursh...
was born and raised in Bay Shore, New York. For nine years,
he attended Solomon
Schechter, a private Jewish academy based in Commack,
New York. While making yearly summer visits to family in Israel
with his Israeli-born parents, Jon became fluent in Hebrew
at an early age and continues to hold his dual-citizenship
status. Jon also attended BHEC,
a Jewish summer camp, for several summers.
In
recent years, Jon has produced Blues and Motown concerts with
Big
Fish Productions in New York. He continues to consult
on various marketing projects for Furshpan
Associates. Jon currently resides in the Back Bay of Boston
in Massachusetts, where he co-founded Prodigy
Technology in 2004, an educational software and content
development company. He is currently the Executive Vice President
of Products. Jonathan dreams of one day owning a comedy/jazz
club.
Jon’s
father, Bernie, is a chirporactor,
creative marketer, concert producer, and entrepreneur. Jon’s
mother, Neely, is an architect. Jon’s younger sister,
Tamara, is a student at the University
of Massachusetts Amherst where she majors in Psychology
and minors in Education. Tamara is also a lifeguard at BHEC.
Both
of Jon’s grandmothers make a mean latke. Jon likes his
latkes with apple sauce or with sour cream.
Sydney...
was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Boca Raton, Florida.
She began as a vocalist at age five. During her high school
years, Sydney attended the Dreyfoos
School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, to pursue
her dream of the performing arts. She majored in dance, however
continued to perfect her voice through private lessons and
by attending special music programs such as the Intelochen
Center for the Arts in Michigan. Sydney is currently teaching
herself to play the piano and the guitar.
Sydney
is currently attending her final semester at the Berklee
College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, having found
her passion in Music Therapy. While first attending Berklee,
Sydney pursued a path of classical singing, then Jazz singing.
But her philanthropic ambitions to use her musical skills
in a clinical atmosphere drove her to study the therapeutic
aspects of music and rhythm. She hopes to oneday help the
development and growth of premature babies in the NICU through
the use of music therapy.
Sydney’s
father, Daniel, is an architectural designer and the king
of the road on his Harley Davidson. Sydney’s mother,
Carole, is an art gallery owner in Delray Beach, Florida.
Sydney’s younger brother, Zachary, is one of the world’s
future rock stars.
Sydney
makes latkes with her grandmother every year and enjoys them
with a little bit of sprinkled sugar on the top.
